EPIPHANY 2014

EPIPHANY 2014 Was it not when the reputation of the honourable Joseph was most vulnerablethat his response to God was most just? Was it notwhen Mary's virginity was evidently questionablethat she was most true? Was it not when the Holy Family had left home, found no place for birthing, turned refugees, that they could home Christ?  Humble was Christ born a babe, great was the patronage of Joseph the Worker who has apprenticed not only a tecton but the Boy to become Man.  Holy was this…See More

Mary, Mother of God

Has God-consciousness been born yet? How can it be I am a virgin? How can it be I am an atheist, agnostic, humanistic, a sinner? How can it be without evidence, without prove? How can it be that my new born son would bring me hurt like a stabbed wound? How can it be that my new born is promising yet stir up strife? How can it be that God exists with suffering? What have you done to me and your father? How can it be Jesus that you were so insensitive and stayed behind Jerusalem without permission? How…See More

THE CROSS: THE SCHOOL OF LIFE

beam, thorns, nails
crushed, pain, torment
Mother, can it be more sorrowful?
-- Go, follow him!
for a good while you abandoned me
for a long moment you hid your face from me

What God is this?

What God is this?

Fed by a woman's blood

Cradled in her placenta

insignificantly among the lowly
just like any baby
Fed thousands by Providence
Cared for by women friends
Struggled in the milieu of humanity
despicable among the condemned
just like any dissident
Fed his friends his flesh and blood
Embraced…
